This is the fourth and last in our series about Vonage phone service. We already wrote about:

When most people think of Vonage, they envision residential telephone service. While this Voice over Internet Protocol service does offer a tremendous selection of residential plans, it doesn’t leave businesses out in the cold.

Small business owners that want to save on their telephone expenses without cutting corners on quality or bells and whistles will find Vonage delivers. The company isn’t a traditional phone service either. Rather than rely on telephone lines, which are often antiquated, it provides customers with a special adapter they can use to transform their high-speed Internet lines into telephone lines.

Business customers will find that Vonage offers them two distinct plans to meet their needs.

Small Business Premium Unlimited

When a small company has a big need for phone coverage, this is the plan to consider. The plan features unlimited local and long distance calling in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. It also boasts included calls to landlines within France, Spain, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Italy.

Other features business owners are sure to appreciate are:

  • Vonage Extensions – This is a relatively new service offered by Vonage that enables customers to extend their calling plans to any phone – even a mobile line – at no additional charge. Second extensions are also available for only $4.99 a month.
  • Dedicated fax lines – This plan includes up to 500 minutes of outgoing faxes a month, plus unlimited incoming faxes. Additional outgoing fact minutes are charged at 3.9 cents a minute.

The Vonage Small Business Premium Plan is priced to go easy on the bottom line, too. It costs only $49.99 a month, plus taxes and fees. Promotions are sometimes available that bring the starting price down even more.

Small Business Basic 1500

This plan is similar to the Unlimited, but it does have a few restrictions versus its counterpart. Instead of offering customers unlimited outgoing calls, it features 1,500 minutes of local and long distance service to the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. Additional minutes are billed at 3.9 cents a minute.

This Vonage basic business plan does come with Vonage Extensions and a dedicated fax line, too. This plan’s outgoing fax service is also limited to 500 included minutes. Additional minutes are billed at 3.9 cents a minute. Incoming faces are free with unlimited service.

Small business owners will find the basic plan is available to them for $39.99 a month.

Vonage isn’t just for residential customers. Business owners that want to tap into the power of the Internet to improve their communications will find two plans designed just for them.

While local and national long distance plans are fine for some customers, others need special pricing built in for international calling. Vonage has recognized this and it responded with two distinct plans for its customers that need to call overseas on a regular basis.

Vonage is a Voice over Internet Protocol service provider that delivers phone service in a slightly different way. Rather than rely on telephone lines, this company uses customers’ existing high-speed Internet lines to provide them with home and business phone service. Vonage relies on a special adapter to transform high-speed lines into phone lines, too. This means customers can use phones of their choice.

When it comes to international calling plans, Vonage delivers two main options.

Vonage World

This plan includes unlimited calling to more than 60 countries worldwide with landlines included. It also provides unlimited calling to mobile phones in 10 different countries, including India.

Vonage World also offers the company’s most recent upgrade – Vonage Extensions. This enables users to extend their calling plan to any phone, even a mobile phone, at no extra charge. Customers can even add an extra Extension for only $4.99 a month.

Vonage World customers also enjoy unlimited service a little closer to home. Than plan includes unlimited coverage throughout the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. To sweeten the deal, Vonage World customers also receive unlimited readable voicemail transcriptions that are sent out via email or text.

Vonage World is offered regularly for $25.99 a month, plus taxes and fees. Right now, customers can enjoy the first three months for $9.99 a month.

Vonage World Plus 1000

This is the newest addition to Vonage’s international calling plans fleet. Customers that have a greater need for international long distance coverage might find the Vonage World Plus 1000 plan more to their liking. This plan includes all the perks of Vonage World with an extra added in. The upgrades found with Vonage World Plus 1000 include:

  • 1000 Premium minutes to landlines in over 15 additional countries and mobile phones in 30 additional countries.

Just like Vonage World, this plan also includes Vonage Extensions, unlimited local and long distance calling in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico and unlimited transcripts of voicemail. The plan costs $54.99 a month, plus taxes and fees.

Local and U.S. long distance works for some, but others need more coverage. Vonage delivers two international plans that help ensure customers’ bases are covered no matter where in the world they need to call.
